COMMUNITY YOUTH BIKE RODEO SUNDAY JUNE 2nd!

Field Institute of Taos is partnering with the Town of Taos to host the 2024 Community Youth Bike Rodeo! This annual Community Youth Bike Rodeo promotes safe riding practices, skills, and FUN for our community youth.

For youth ages 17 and under; Sunday, June 2, 2024, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM outside at 400 Camino de la Placita (in front of Town of Taos police station).

The goal is to provide our community with a fun, safe, and supervised bike rodeo for youth and promote cycling for fun, transportation, safe biking practices, skills and fitness.

All youth must be registered and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Parents, please bring your children’s bikes and helmets as there will be a limited number of bikes available for youth to borrow. Bikes and helmets will be inspected for safety. Free helmets will be provided for children needing a helmet while supplies and sizes last. Helmets are required for all riders.

There will be skilled cycling activities, cycling games, and Rules of the Road lessons provided by the Field Institute of Taos coaches and instructors. A limited number of loaner bikes will be available provided by the Field Institute of Taos. Snacks will be provided.

FREE drawings (at noon and at 1pm) for bicycles for participating youth! FREE event t-shirts will be given to the youth completing the activities and visiting the booths and games. Event parking will be available at the Taos Public Library and Enos Garcia East parking lot/school administration parking lots.
