SUMMER MOUNTAIN CAMP SCHEDULE

Nature Adventure Mini (FULL – waitlist available)
Entering grades 1 through 4.
Active, hands-on, outdoor adventures exploring nature. Day camp specially designed for our younger campers. Groups will be split based on physical and emotional maturity.
Tuesday through Friday (4 days).

Nature Art and Adventure with Malia…a NEW session! (space available)
Entering grades 5 through 8th.
Explore new worlds in nature through art and adventure. Be out in nature and use observation skills and curiosity to create.

Moab Mountain Bike Adventure (FULL – waitlist available)
For experienced Taos Middle School and High School Team riders ages 13+ only.
This session is for advanced riders only. XC riding, skills development, and bike maintenance. 5-days and 4-nights camping, riding, and exploring! Longer and more challenging rides than the Durango trip. Past experience in our after school mountain bike programs and teams required.
Monday through Friday (5 days).

Nature Adventure #1 (FULL – waitlist available)
Entering first through third grades.
Active, hands-on, outdoor adventures exploring nature. Day camp specially designed for our younger campers. 8 days.

Backcountry Experience (FULL – waitlist available)
Entering sixth grade and up.
3-day/2-night BACKPACKING trip included in this 5-day session. Co-ed. Enthusiastic, experienced, past FIT campers entering 6th grade and up only

Nature Explore at Rio Fernando ParK – NEW PROGRAM! (space available)
For children ages 7-10.
Active, hands-on outdoor PLAY with a focus on exploring nature, creating art, and investigating science. Sign up for 1 or 2 weeks only. 4 days per week. 9am-2pm. Drop off and pick up at Rio Fernando Park.
Monday through Thursday (4 days).

Adventure Week – space now available!
Entering grades 4-7.
Experienced FIT campers who are ready for some bigger adventures. Hiking, rock climbing, and a float trip!
Monday through Thursday (4 days); all inclusive.

Durango Mountain Bike Week (space available)
For experienced Taos Middle School and High School Team riders only. Age 11 and up.
This session is for more advanced riders only. XC riding, skills development, and bike maintenance. 4-days and 3-nights camping and riding! Longer and more challenging rides than the intermediate level Taos Mountain Bike session. Past experience in our after school mountain bike programs or Taos Mountain Bike summer session is required.

Entering fourth through seventh grades.
Explore the outdoors through active physical adventures and nature investigations. Experience teamwork, growth and fun. Now with more adventure than ever! Includes one day of rock climbing, Rubber Duck race silliness on July 4th, and an overnight camping trip. 8 days.
Monday through Thursday (8 days); includes overnight camping trip.

Advanced Adventure (FULL – waitlist available)
Entering grades 7-9.
Experienced FIT campers only who are ready for some bigger adventures. Alpine hikes, an overnight camping trip, and a rock climbing day!

Nature and Connection…an exciting week for self identifying LGBTQIA2S+ youth with Liana and AimeeLynn! (space available)
Ages 12-17.
Share community, nature, and adventure. Rafting, hiking, rock climbing, farming, and more!
Monday through Thursday (4 days); includes climbing and rafting.

Alpine Journey Returns! (FULL – waitlist available)
Entering grades 7 and up.
Adventurous, enthusiastic learners entering grades 7 & up. Mountain environments & glaciers; includes a 4-night/5-day camping & advanced hiking adventure in Rocky Mountain National Park. Past experience in FIT programs required.
Monday through Friday (5 days). Co-ed.

Alpine Adventure (space available)
Entering seventh grade and up.
Explore the high mountains on big day hikes, active adventures, and nature investigations. Experience teamwork, growth and fun! This session is for “super hikers!” 3 days.
